THIS summer, Brisbane transforms into the arts and culture capital of the state with an event schedule the rest of the world should be envious of.   

Whether it's theatre, exhibitions, comedy or science, the River City has it all - and you're invited.   

Here's a taste of what's on this summer:  

My Fair Lady - From March 14

Directed by Julie Andrews, My Fair Lady is coming to QPAC and it's got a stellar cast in tow.

Downton Abbey star Charles Edwards is Henry Higgins, Anna O'Byrne is Eliza Doolittle, Reg Livermore plays Alfred P Doolittle, Robyn Nevin is Mrs Higgins and Mark Vincent stars as Freddy.

The role of Colonel Pickering is played by Tony Llewellyn-Jones and Deidre Rubenstein is Mrs Pearce.   

 

GOMA turns 10 - until April 17

To celebrate its 10th birthday, the Gallery of Modern Art is putting on a show to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

And you'll see something similar on the walls. Sugar Spin: You, Me, Art and Everything is on at GOMA until mid-April and it's a fun exhibition that explores light, space and the senses.

Ride on a giant slide, play with LEGO and experience an exhibition like no other.

Get there soon because it only turns 10 once!  

 

World Science Festival Brisbane - March 22-26

Last year's World Science Festival Brisbane saw more than 120,000 attendees across the various events.

This year, it's shaping up to be even bigger. Don't miss this amazing festival featuring challenging discussions and live performances about science, technology, engineering and maths, with loads of interesting and fun things to see and do.

And be sure to explore the free Street Science!

 

Brisbane Comedy Festival - Feb 28-March 26

Brace for some serious belly laughs because the eighth annual Brisbane Comedy Festival is the biggest yet.  

With more than 66 comedians set to invade the city across four weeks, you're guaranteed to have sore abdominal muscles.   

The Brisbane Powerhouse and Brisbane City Hall will host the hilarious international acts including Stephen K Amos, Cal Wilson, Dave Hughes, Tom Gleeson, Rove McManus, Tom Ballard and more.   

 

Adele - March 4-5

She has shaped the pop scene on a global scale and continues to carve her name into the top charts.   

Watch as the the soul powerhouse Adele tears down The Gabba with her incredible 2017 show this March.
