Bronc riders seek Tamworth glory

FOUR saddle bronc riders from Warwick will be in action at the Tamworth International Show Downunder Rodeo tonight. Scott Keogh, a top performer during a number of years on the American circuit, has drawn Troubled Waters.

Lucas Wilson will be on Redman, Mark Collins on X Files and Michael Maher on a unnamed horse.

Collins has been in good form in the past month when he split first at Merrijig, Victoria, and was fourth at Inverell.

Wilson was fourth in the first APRA championship points rodeo at Murphy’s Creek in late March.

Willowvale rider Scott Glasby was second in the Dirranbandi bull ride last weekend with a score of 80. He will be on Insane at Tamworth tonight.

The event will be held in the new Australian Equine and Livestock Equestrian Centre.
