Bourke brothers a boost for Warwick team

THE Bourke brothers, Kevin and Paul, will play for the Warwick over 40s team in the Bill Hoiberg Memorial cricket match against the Queensland Cricketers Club at Slade Park at 10am Saturday. The brothers played for Maryvale in the 2012-2013 season grand final loss to Wheatvale.

While Kevin has more been regarded as a batsman down the years, he impressed with the ball in the just-completed season.

Paul has proved to be a batsman for a crisis, especially in one Mitchell Shield title victory. He is one of the most economical medium pacers in Warwick cricket.

The host team is sponsored by the Warwick RSL and will also include captain Peter Kimmince, Neal Henderson, Don Warrener, Dave Gavin, David Fearby and Bernie Ryan.

Warwick Cricket Association president Col O'Brien said the QCC had a convincing win last season but the Warwick team was keen to take the honours this year.
