Brownlie in doubt for trial clash against Pittsworth

PROP Ben Brownlie is in doubt with a back injury in the run-up to the Warwick Cowboys trial game against Pittsworth on Sunday at Father Ranger Oval.

Coach Ken Coles was impressed with the form of Brownlie in his first game of the season.

"Fellow prop Michael Dixon has an ankle injury and is also in doubt," Coles said.

"It will be another three weeks until regular prop Garry Ellery returns from England.

"A lot of players will be given an opportunity in A-grade this weekend before the competition starts.

"The centre and second row positions are wide open."

Lock Peter Giffin will captain the side for the third time on Sunday.

More prospective players for A and reserve-grades welcome at training tomorrow from 6pm at Father Ranger Oval.

Program: 11.30am Under-18, 1pm reserve-grade, 2.30pm A-grade
