Bruce Lee impersonator fined

A MAN who told police his name was Bruce Lee has been fined $350.

Allen Bruce Craigie was involved in a group disturbance on Goondoon St on May 20.

Craigie was uncooperative with police from the start, first giving them a false name and then leaning on their police car while smoking a cigarette.

Despite numerous warnings, he wouldn't step away from the vehicle.

In Gladstone Magistrate Court yesterday Craigie blamed booze for his actions.

"I was pretty drunk your Honour and I take painkillers every day but there's no excuse for it."

Magistrate Russell Warfield said Craigie had made the police officers job more difficult than it needed to be.

No conviction was recorded.
