Bryson’s the Place for some jazz
CAFE owner Lynn Bryson must really enjoy being run off her feet, hosting yet another fully-booked, live music day at her already busy main street cafe.
Lynn and her team at Bryson's Place put on a lunch spread accompanied by music from Toowoomba' Andrew Kucks on Tuesday and will be bringing him back on Sunday between 9am and 2pm.
Andrew has been part of the Jumpers and Jazz festival for the last five years entertaining the crowds with his versatile music.
Andrew described himself as a friend of jazz rather than a jazz player.
"It's great to be part of the festival," Andrew said. "I remember coming to Warwick for the first time 30 years ago doing a country music gig."
The musician said he enjoyed playing intimate gigs like the one at Bryson's Place but said the challenge was reading the crowd and to keep everyone happy.
Originally Andrew was to play with fellow Toowoomba musician Signy Arnason but she pulled out at the last minute leaving Andrew to take the stage by himself.
"I had some songs already picked out so I ended up singing both the male and female parts, which was an extra challenge."
Lynn Bryson called the guitarist a great crowd pleaser, who was amazing value and had left her customers extremely pleased.
Lynn was happy with how many people had come for the festival and how far some people had travelled to get to Warwick.
Andrew said he was looking forward to walking through town on Sunday and taking some photos of all the tree jumpers decorations.
As well as the Jumpers and Jazz festival the musician has become a regular at the Warwick Carols in the Park in December.
