Buckle up for Warwick's Cowboys Rodeo fundraising event

WARWICK Cowboys Rugby League Club is hosting its major fundraiser of the year tonight at Father Ranger Oval.

Twenty-Eight bull riders will compete in the Cowboys Rodeo Open Bull Riding competition with all money raised to go towards the Cowboys player and coach development.

With a jumping castle, mechanical bull and a canteen stocked with food and drinks, organiser Don Browne said the night will be fun for the whole family.

"We are expecting a jumping castle and mechanical bull for the kids to try their hand at bullriding," he said.

"After the rodeo we will have a senior bull ride on the mechanical bull in front of the bar. Anyone can nominate for $10 to try their hand and have a good laugh."

Mr Browne said the work of volunteers preparing for the night had been inspiring.

"Marvellous enthusiasm from the volunteers setting up for the event," he said.

"Anyone in town who wants to come along and lend a hand is more than welcome.

"Come along and help raise some money for a good cause and have some fun."

Gates open at 5pm with the bull riding from 7pm.

  • When: Tonight, 5pm
  • Where: Father Ranger Oval
  • Cost: $15 Adults, $8 Kids, Con $10
