Aussie Bush Tucker van adds buffalo for Warwick Rodeo-goers
A NEW flavour has been added to the rodeo this week with Aussie Bush Tucker rolling into the grounds yesterday.
Owner Aaron Doyle claims he's got one of the "best known" food vans in Australia serving up tucker including crocodile, buffalo and traditional prime rib fillet burgers.
It's the van's first time to Warwick and Mr Doyle said they're all about serving up good, old-fashioned Aussie tucker.
He's a man who sounds like he's been almost everywhere - including setting up camp at events in all states of the country.
His business partner Garry Jockey, a local to the Stanthorpe area, encouraged Mr Doyle to head for a look at "Australia's most famous" rodeo.
"It's a good chance for us to catch up and get together with people we know from other events," he said.
"I've met a lot of competitors at other rodeos and campdrafts."
Mr Doyle said his favourite item on the menu would have to be the prime rib fillet. "You can't go past it," he said.
But for those feeling more adventurous could go for the buffalo.
"It's a lot more popular than you'd think - it's richer than beef," he said.
"Unfortunately we couldn't get crocodile to bring to Warwick."
