Burgled cafe puts on $2 kitchen for community
NOT many people would be feeling too charitable following a break in but Jim and Katie Osborn have decided to turn their misfortune into something positive for their community.
The owners of Bluebird Kitchen and Bar will host a $2 kitchen this Sunday between 2 - 4pm for those people going hungry and doing it tough in the Rose City.
Katie and Jim said they were looking forward to meeting some amazing people at the event and welcomed any volunteers to join in serving bowls of hot food to those in need.
"We don't care who you are, where you come from, or what you wear - we simply want to help the only way we know how," they said in a Facebook post that has already had more than 7000 views since this morning.
In the lead up to the event, customers can also pay for a suspended coffee for the next customer in need.
