Missing Burpengary woman and son found

UPDATE:

A 34-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy reported missing on January 4 were found safe and well on Thursday.

EARLIER: 

POLICE are seeking public assistance to help locate a 34-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy reported missing on January 4.

The pair were last seen leaving a residence in Glen Innes, New South Wales on the afternoon of December 26, 2015 and were believed to be travelling back to Burpengary.

The woman last spoke to a family member on December 30 but has not made contact with anyone since.

The woman is described as being Caucasian, approximately 162cm tall with a proportionate build, fair complexion and brown hair.

The boy is described as being Caucasian with blonde hair and a slim build.
