Bushfire breaks out south of Stanthorpe

TWO fire crews are on scene at Thorndale Rd, Glen Aplin, attending to a bushfire.

A QFES spokesman said crews were called to the scene just after 3.30pm.

Currently no property is under threat, however fire fighters are taking pre-emptive measures to protect houses on Thorndale Rd.

A large amount of smoke has drifted from the scene to Stabiles Rd, Severnlea, however QFES have reported there are no fires currently in this area.
