Business styles an exciting future
HAIR Kreations owner Natalie Ezzy is excited about her new modern salon in Fitzroy Pl, which opened earlier this month.
WITH a new space to work and a new face in the team, the atmosphere in Hair Kreations is one of happiness and laughter.
The locally owned salon has recently moved into a fresh and modern store in Fitzroy Pl, adding a new service and a new experienced stylist.
Owner Natalie Ezzy, who bought the busy salon in 2009, said the new salon was more modern and had more parking than its old Palmerin St address.
"This is our fourth week in the new store," she said.
"We've started ear piercing and we're bringing in paraffin wax soon."
Joining the Hair Kreations team from Western Australia is Keah Holland, a hairdresser with 22 years of experience under her belt.
"I moved here for a change of scenery - somewhere nice and quiet to raise my daughter," she said.
While a lot of salons don't do perms and sets for mature ladies, Hair Kreations has a number of clients who come in for weekly perms and sets.
"There's laughter and noise - we're building a rapport with clients," Ms Holland said.
The move hasn't been a clean cut for the Hair Kreations team, with a number of issues slowing things down.
"The phones were disconnected for three weeks," Mrs Ezzy said.
As things settle down, the team have a number of exciting developments at hand which are sure to appeal to the wide range of their clients.
Mrs Ezzy said one of the new plans, which involves a small fridge and some beer, would be a real attraction for tradies.
"We're going to be offering a drink with haircuts," she said.
"There'll be a couple of brands of beers, some wine, and some cruisers for the ladies - it's something different."
With formal season reaching its peak, the staff at Hair Kreations are expecting a busy period with their hair and make-up packages.
Hair Kreations is open Monday - Saturday, with appointments available by phoning 4661 2830.
