Ambos busy with numerous weekend sports injuries

AMBULANCE crews had a busy weekend at sports games in the Rose City, with multiple calls to events at Queens Park.

From injured limbs to serious pains, paramedics treated and transported a number of players from both soccer and rugby union games.

On Saturday morning a 15-year-old soccer player was taken to Warwick Hospital with a suspected back injury.

Several hours later there were two rugby union injuries within an hour of each other.

The first was an 18-year-old with a dislocated knee and the other was a 20-year-old with an ankle injury.
