Campaign a thing of clean beauty

KEEP Australia Beautiful Week kicks off next Monday, August 20, and Suburbs club members Mark Fowler and Tyla Ammenhauser were busy keeping the footy fields in tip-top shape at the weekend.

Tyla said it was important to keep our region clean and litter-free.

"It makes it look nice and tidy," Tyla said.

KAB CEO Rick Burnett said people needed to take responsibility for their own rubbish.

"There are still people who think a bit of rubbish doesn't really hurt, yet just one piece contributes to the pollution of our oceans and can harm or kill our wildlife so every piece does in fact count," Mr Burnett said.
