Campdraft events unlikely to re-run
ALLORA and District Campdraft Association president Glenn Evans says it is unlikely the cancelled events from the weekend will be rescheduled.
The novice and open drafts were both cancelled on Sunday and Evans said he did not expect they would be re-run.
"Due to the busy campdrafting schedule it's hard to find a weekend where we could reschedule them," Evans said.
"At this stage they will stay cancelled.
"If you look around at our committee, a lot of the members are involved in various other committees too.
"They do a lot of good work in the community, but it makes it hard to find a free weekend."
Evans said he was pleased with the turnout at the event, which saw about 750 entries.
"We had really good support from a lot of cattle owners," he said.
"We got good numbers, enough for about 10 hours of campdrafting.
"It's not the most amount of entries we've had, but it was pretty full.
"With the amount of time we had, that's still a big event for the area."
