Campdraft to start the action in Warwick
Horse Power with Gerard Walsh
WHILE the New Year's Eve Rodeo is the major event at the Warwick Showgrounds on Sunday, there will be action from early morning.
The volunteers who run the campdrafting at the Warwick Rodeo and some of the sponsors are competing in a campdraft.
Action starts in the campdraft at 6am Sunday and all money raised will support Warwick's Miss Rodeo Australia entrant Ashleigh Grant and her nominated charity Blush Cancer Care.
There will be 100 riders in action.
Swanfels starter
SWANFELS cowboy Lane Grayson will be one of the favourites for the open bullock ride at the Steele's Bakery and Cafe New Year's Eve Rodeo.
Gates open at 10am and first action from 2pm and well into Sunday night.
Grayson is an accomplished saddle bronc rider but isn't eligible to compete in what is a second-division saddle bronc ride on Sunday night. He will be in the bullock ride along with Aaron Ryan from Dalby who has been a Warwick Rodeo announcer.
