Capitalist comes back a year later to win Magic Millions

A HORSE bred at Goomburra has won the two-year-old classic at the Magic Millions race meeting on the Gold Coast.

Capitalist was sold by Jan Clark's Daandine stud at Goomburra at last year's Magic Millions Sale and returned a year later to win the big race.

The winner is by Written Tycoon, a sire bred at Daandine out of the mare Kitalpha which was bought by Daandine at the Magic Millions.

Capitalist is trained at Randwick in Sydney by Peter and Paul Snowden and was ridden on Saturday by Blake Shinn.

He is a chestnut colt and now has five wins from five starts.
