Car seized for 90 days on Southern Downs

A CAR has been seized at Allora for 90 days after a man was arrested in the town for questioning on three matters.

Acting Sergeant Matt Shield said the man was wanted for questioning for three alleged matters, a breach of a domestic violence order, a drive off from a service station in Warwick for not paying for fuel and for driving while unlicensed.

"His car has been seized for 90 days as he has been charged with a type 2 offence, including unlicensed driving or driving an unregistered vehicle, four times in the past five years,” Acting Sgt Shield said.

"I was doing random patrols in Allora at 8.30am Saturday and spotted the man in a yard working on his car.”

Bail was refused and the man is spending the weekend in the Warwick Watchhouse prior to his appearance at Warwick Magistrates Court on Monday.
