Cash missing at Cherrabah turn off

A JET black Chihuahua with brown eyes and a glossy coat went missing yesterday between Warwick and Killarney at the Cherrabah Resort turn off at Cullendore Rd.

The three-year-old Chihuahua named Cash jumped out of the car while owner Jennifer Whitfield had stopped to attend to her seven-month-old daughter.

Ms Whitfield has been searching for the dog since yesterday and is worried sick about his whereabouts.

"He's such a cool dog, he's like my best mate and very much loved,” Ms Whitfield said.

Ms Whitfield has come from Cloncurry to visit family for Christmas, but said she won't be leaving until she finds Cash.

"We think some one must have picked him up on the side of the road and taken him,” she said.

Cash is a small, lap-sized dog and who is microchipped and de-sexed.

Ms Whitfield described him as very friendly in nature.

Ms Whitfield said he will be anxious about being separated from his owner for so long.

"Chihuahuas fret when they are not with their owners so he will probably be terrified.”

Anyone with information about the dog's whereabouts can contact Ms Whitfield on 0497065213 or Lachlan Ross on 0400694700.
