THIS weekend Cassels Automotive will give Warwick residents the chance to test drive a whole new range of Jeep 4WDs.

Owner David Cassels said the decision to build the new Jeep showroom was in response to a high demand for the manufacturer from Warwick motorists.

"I think about a third of the four wheel drives I've seen coming through Warwick were Jeeps," Mr Cassels said.

"Jeep are an extremely popular choice for Warwick people carrying caravans, horse floats or boats."

"They've had a year-on-year growth in Australia and are making a name for themselves as leaders in 4WDs."

Mr Cassels hopes the new Jeep Renegade, which launched across Australia this month, will prove a best seller for those looking for a medium-sized 4WD.

"It's a smaller SUV with a very modern look to it," Mr Cassels said.

"It's definitely aimed at a younger demographic looking for something with a bit more of a hip style."

The new Jeep showroom unveiled last month is just the second of a new dealership design in Queensland.

Mr Cassels said the decision to bring in the new Jeep dealership showroom had been a big step.

"It was a huge investment bringing in the new showroom," Mr Cassels said.

"But it's given us the opportunity to create more jobs with a specially trained technician and diagnostic equipment."

The expansion means any Warwick residents who previously had to travel into Brisbane to get a warranty-approved service on a Jeep vehicle could now stay local.

"This means we now have everything people need to get their Jeeps serviced as part of their warranty," he said.

This Saturday from 8am until noon Cassels will be holding an open drive day at the local dealership and people are encouraged to come along and test drive any car in their new fleet of Jeep automotives.

To help drive the launch of the Jeep showroom, Cassels are also offering anyone who purchases a car from their current stock with an incentive of $1000 worth of free fuel.
