Celebrate Christmas with Lions

KILLARNEY and District residents have until 5pm this Friday to nominate their Christmas Lights display in the Killarney Christmas Lights Draw.

Gift vouchers donated by Killarney Co-op, Pacific Seeds and the Warwick Credit Union, along with a major draw, will be held on Friday evening at the Killarney Lions / Red Cross Christmas in the park.

Residents can nominate their display for $5 at the Killarney Newsagency to go into the draw for the vouchers with total value of about $700.

The Killarney Lions Club members are hoping for a fine evening on Friday as they hold the 2013 Christmas in the Park for the Killarney community.

Entertainment for the evening will be students from the Killarney State School Choir, Killarney QCWA Choir and Bruce Halter.

The Lions Club will have hamburgers and cold drinks on sale with the Red Cross having its popular fruit salad and ice cream.

Not to forget the children, a special invitation has gone out to the North Pole for Santa to make a flying visit to Killarney.

The Killarney Christmas In the Park will be held in Canning Park from 6pm this Friday.

All welcome to come along and enjoy an evening under the stars with family and friends.
