Celtic calling to high tea

AS part of a Celtic morning tea, ladies of the Rose City will enjoy delicious food and fabulous frocks.

Uniting Church Warwick Adult Fellowship treasurer Iris Cutmore said there would be plenty to look forward to at the high tea.

"There will be a delicious afternoon tea and entertainment from Welsh, Irish and Scottish singers," Mrs Cutmore said.

"There will also be memorabilia from all three countries, bring and buy stalls, a plant stall and a fashion parade by Gazebo."

Mrs Cutmore said while the high tea would encapsulate everything Scottish, Irish and Welsh, the afternoon would also raise money for the United World Mission.

"Last year we donated about $500," she said.

"Usually we are able to donate to five or six different projects in different countries.

"They are projects like feeding a village for a few months with $20 or buying a pig for $10."

The morning tea will be on Friday from 2pm at the Warwick Uniting Church hall at 37 Guy St.

Tickets are $10 and bookings need to be made by phoning 4661 4309 or 4661 5347.
