Chamber of Commerce announces new life members

A SENSE of optimism is in the air for the Warwick Chamber of Commercce.

On Monday night at the group's AGM, at announced their executive for 2018, with a number of positions remaining unchanged.

Julia Keogh maintains the role of president, with David Martin as vice president, Jacob Cadman as secretary and Jane Pollard as treasurer.

The new year isn't without opportunity, and Mrs Keogh is excited about what lies ahead, particularly with regard to new businesses entering Rose City Shoppingworld.

"There is an opportunity in relation to bringing on new members, and they have the chance to be involved with the chamber,” she said.

"New skills, ideas and fresh eyes to the region is good. I've seen the chamber evolve and grow since I've been involved, not because of myself, because there has been a really strong interest from such a wide range and experience sets.

"Every single week there are new ideas and ways on engaging with the community and the business community, who are giving it a try.”

The AGM also brought about two candidates for life membership, with Graham Buchner and Bob Lindenberg nominated and accepted on the evening.
