Champs net a win

ACCURATE shooting from Jess O'Brien and Grace Donovan paved the way for Hazards to beat Darkside in Warwick A-grade netball on Tuesday night at WIRAC.

The final score was 22-17 with the defending premiers only setting up a comfortable lead in the final quarter.

Hazards led 6-5, 10-8 and 15-13 at the end of the first three quarters.

As well as some accurate shooting, Katie Fenton and Ashlee Hagan defended well for Hazards.

The centre court of Shari Hirning, Jess Carey, Nat McVeigh and Catlin McBaron fired for the winners.

The strong defence of Hazards made it hard going for Darkside shooters Jacinta Ryan and Sophie Power.

Michelle Hoffman, Amanda Creed, Kerry Fearby and Donna Carey had strong games in centre court for Darkside.
