Chance to down clays in come-and-try shoot at Cherrabah

WANT to try your luck at clay target shooting with the newly formed Cherrabah Sporting Clays.

Then head to Cherrabah Resort at Elbow Valley this weekend for a come-and-try day.

The club is part of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia.

Prospective shooters can just have a go with 25 shots or go on and compete in the 100 Sporting Clays event which will be spaced over the two days providing they are deemed safe to shoot after the come-and-try event.

All are welcome to the come-and-try which will be run under supervision.

The day will start at 10am Saturday and cost $60 a person. The cost covers 25 targets, use of gun, instruction, one box of ammunition, morning tea and lunch.

For those keener for a bit more shooting, the 100 Sporting Clays event starts at 1pm Saturday and 9am Sunday.

Unlicensed shooters must complete the come-and-try day before the longer event.

If shooters are unlicensed, they will need photo ID. Juniors must be a minimum of 12 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Cost is $10 for afternoon tea on Saturday for non-shooters.

Bookings with Cherrabah on 46679177 or on the day at reception in the main building.
