Chance to support Crime Stoppers in Wednesday golf

THE Warwick Crime Stoppers Ranbuild We R Signs Golf Day will be held on Wednesday at the Warwick Golf Club.

Warwick Crime Stoppers president Leesa Zagata said information supplied to Crime Stoppers in the past year had resulted in the seizure of $770,000 worth of drugs in the area.

"The seizure of drugs keeps our community safer,” she said.

The event is a two-ball ambrose with registrations from 10am and a shotgun start at 11.30am Wednesday.

Mrs Zagata said there would be nibblies at the clubhouse after the competition.

"We have had great support from local businesses and have fantastic prizes,” she said.

"Wade Real Estate were the highest bidder in a silent auction for the 14th hole, with all auction funds to go to the Dolly's Dream Foundation.”

Warwick Sporters Golf Club captain/secretary Terry Bennett said Crime Stoppers was one of the bigger Wednesday golf days of the year.

"It is important to support safety in the community through Crime Stoppers,” Mr Bennett said.

"I am hoping there is strong support from the Warwick golfing community for the day.”

Cost is $20 per player and bookings at the pro shop on 46613664 or before the start on Wednesday.
