Changing of guard for Lions Club

THE Inglewood Lions Club held their change over dinner last month.

Incoming President Stuart Parker gave a comprehensive report of the year's activities which were varied.

They included the hosting of the very successful Ultralight weekend in May, conducting the large annual Christmas Fun Day in December and the successful trialling early this year of the Markets now being held monthly in the Lions/Apex Park.

The park is situated on the main Cunningham Highway at the eastern approach to the town and the club is confident the travelling public will be attracted into making a stop-over in Inglewood to attend the markets.

Concluding his report Mr Parker quoted an item from the latest Lions Journal which said a successful Lions Club is made up of a good team where everyone plays a role and members do their part not to receive praise and glory but to achieve a common goal.

He said: "I definitely find this to be so in the Inglewood Club and I am humbled to be part of such a great team."
