Charchys serves best in Warwick's burgers
WARWICK has spoken, and when it comes to grabbing a hearty feed, Charchy's on Westside is the place to go.
In a recent Daily News Facebook poll, Charchy's on Westside took out the title of best burger in Warwick, something new business owner Mandy Nesbitt found quite humbling.
"We've only been open about a month now, and the feedback has been great," she said.
She said Charchy's on Westside was sticking to serving up classic burgers, offering daily specials and meal deals.
"We have something every day but Friday," she said.
"Our most popular burger is The Charchy," Mrs Nesbitt said.
The Charchy weighs in at over a kilogram, stands taller than a kitten and contains a succulent beef patty, lettuce, tomato, bacon, egg, beetroot, caramelised onion and a slice of pineapple to finish it off.
"It costs $12," Mrs Nesbitt said.
"We might branch out in to different burgers soon, but for now, it's just chicken and beef burgers."
As for what makes their burgers a cut above the rest, Mrs Nesbitt said the kitchen homed a special ingredient - her mother, Shirley.
"The Charchy's secret is to have your mum cook the burgers," Mrs Nesbitt said.
"She's worked in hospitality her whole life and knows how to cook them best."
