Charity to benefit from burger feast

A SCOOBY Doo jumping castle, multi-draw raffles, a jelly bean guessing competition and entertainment from local bands will be just some of the action for visitors at McDonald's.

For McHappy Day, the Warwick and Stanthorpe fast food outlets will put on a range of activities to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House charity.

Organised by McDonald's employees Swazzy Naidu and Jazzy Wood, the Warwick restaurant hopes to raise at least $3000 on November 12.

"Every bit raised will help out children in need," Ms Naidu said.

"I've worked here for four-and-a-half years and I've seen a fair few McHappy days. Last year's went off really well.

"It would be great if the community could come down and support the day."

Money will be raised through gold coin donation for each activity and $1 will be donated from McDonalds for each Big Mac sold.

From 10.30am there will also be an animal farm and windscreen washing for those vehicles through the drive through who want it.

Entertainment will run from 12pm and will finish, along with the activities, at 2pm.

McHappy Day is a national day held by McDonald's restaurants every year.
