Seven submission for Cherrabah
SEVEN submissions have been lodged in regard to the proposed Cherrabah Resort redevelopment with owners Joyful View Garden Real Estate now assessing them.
Eleanor Horton, associate director of Urbis - the company commissioned to provide design and landscape architecture for the resort - said the proposal has reached the next stage of assessment.
"The public notification period closed recently, culminating in seven submissions having been lodged," she said.
"Joyful View Garden Real Estate is currently considering these submissions and assessing whether to submit revised information to the government, prior to the proposal entering final stages of assessment."
The spotted-tail quoll is believed to be at the centre of the submissions about the proposed resort expansion at Elbow Valley into a 2000- tourist and 2000-resident mega-development.
It is understood landowners and bodies objecting to the Cherrabah expansion due to the property's quolls - officially a threatened species - include the Wildlife Preservation Society, NSW Parks and Wildlife and a locally-based quoll action group.
