Children colour their way to zoo

WHAT started out as a bit of holiday fun at the shopping centre has ended up with three families heading off to the Darling Downs Zoo.

More than 200 children got out their felt pens, pencils and crayons to try to win the Rose City Shoppingworld Easter colouring competition but the work of Paige Bain, Isabella Bath and Connor Hicks impressed the judges most.

Louise De Lissa from Rose City Shoppingworld said the competition had been popular with both children and parents during the school holidays.

"It's just a great activity to keep the kids entertained," she said.
