Children enjoy some music... and some fun
MAINLY Music has started back for the year, with many children and their mothers, grandparents or other carers all taking part in the fun.
The pre-kindergarten age program includes a story, singing and dancing, followed by morning tea and play.
Organiser Marj Furness said it was a great opportunity for kids to make friends and have a play.
"Many friends have been made through this socialising,” Mrs Furness said.
"The more noise and the more dancing we do, the better they like it.”
The program isn't just for the kids, with mothers given the chance to socialise while the children play.
Sharlene Mawer has been taking her children to Mainly Music for a number of years and said they all love the morning out.
"I like the music for the kids and the ladies are so friendly and lovely, always willing to lend a hand when the kids are being difficult and you get to sit and have a cup of tea and relax,” she said.
Mainly Music is held in the St Paul's Anglican Church Hall every Friday morning from 9.30-11am, except during the school holidays.
Cost is $5 per family.
