An RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter came to the aid of the man in his 50s, who had suspected chest and rib injuries after the gate fell on him while working in the town.

It was the second helicopter rescue mission that night after a man in his 40s suffered suspected chest and abdominal injuries after he was in a vehicle rollover at Oakey.
