Chinchilla man crushed by 800kg gate

A CHINCHILLA man crushed by an 800kg gate was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital last night.

The man in his 50s has suspected chest and rib injuries after an 800 kilogram gate fell on him while working in Chinchilla.  

An RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter came to the aid of the man in his 50s, who had suspected chest and rib injuries after the gate fell on him while working in the town.  

It was the second helicopter rescue mission that night after a man in his 40s suffered suspected chest and abdominal injuries after he was in a vehicle rollover at Oakey.  

The Oakey man was airlifted by the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter to Toowoomba late last night in a stable condition.
