Christmas Downtown shines a light on festive spirit
IT’S THE Christmas event lighting up the Warwick community as Christmas Downtown returns for its second year in what organiser Julia Keogh saw as a touching display of spirit.
“Last year was so beautiful and this year, people have really gotten into the spirit. It’s really heartening to see what can happen when community comes together,” Ms Keogh said.
The showpiece of the night was the official lighting of the Warwick Post Office. “I love our sandstone buildings in town, they’re our crowning glories,” she said.
“(The night) gives people an opportunity to engage in the town and get the chance to see kids running around with smiles on their faces.”
The event starts tomorrow night and runs 5.30-7.30pm along Palmerin St.
Entry is free.
