Christmas preparation in full swing in Killarney

THE Killarney Lions Club will be busy over the next few months with the Killarney Christmas Lights Extravaganza, Christmas in the Park Australia Day Awards and Celebrations in January.

The Killarney Christmas Lights Extravaganza, which has been running for past 18 years, will once again have great prizes for the draw with a major prize draw for $300 worth of vouchers at Killarney Business Houses.

The Christmas Lights Extravaganza is sponsored by the Killarney Co-op. Pacific Seeds, Warwick Credit Union and Killarney Newsagency.

To enter the draw for prizes residents can nominated their display for $5 at the Killarney Newsagency, with the prize draw to take place at the Killarney Lions/ Red Cross Christmas in the Park on December 18.

The Christmas in the Park will be in Canning Park where the Killarney State School Choir and Bruce Halter will entertain.

Aussie Day honours

THE Killarney Lions Club is seeking nominations for the 2016 Killarney Australia Day Awards.

Categories include Citizen Award, Junior Citizen Award, Senior Sports Award, Junior Sports Award, Sports Official/ Coach and Community Event.
