Christmas shines in Killarney

CHRISTMAS is coming to Killarney tonight with the annual Killarney Lions/Red Cross Christmas in the Park event.

From 6pm there will entertainment, carols and plenty of family fun in Canning Park.

The Killarney Lions Club will have hamburgers and cold drinks on sale, while the Killarney Red Cross will have their popular fruit salad and ice cream

The Killarney State School Choir, Petersen Angels and Hannah Keogh will sing some of the popular Christmas tunes, with Bruce Halter entertaining until late.

Santa Claus is also making a trip from the North Pole to give the children some treats.

If the weather is looking wet the event will be moved to the Killarney Recreation Centre.

While you're in Killarney why not check out some of the fantastic Christmas lights on homes and businesses around the town.

Bob Bell, in Oak St, has a brilliant display that coincides with music via 95.5FM radio.

The display runs every half hour from 7pm and lasts for 15minutes.
