City welcomes new cop
LOOK out Warwick, there's a new cop on the block and he brings with him a wealth of experience.
Hailing from the Gold Coast, Detective Senior Constable Ryan Harmer spent a year bouncing between stations in that region before heading north to Mount Isa where he spent five years in the Child Protection and Investigation Unit and Criminal Investigation Branch.
Just four days ago, he, his wife and their two children moved to the Rose City to start their new adventure.
"I am excited to be here and can't wait to explore the place," Det Snr Const Harmer said.
He joined the Warwick CIB and will work as a plain-clothed officer, attending serious crimes and lending his expertise where necessary.
Det Snr Const Harmer brings with him four years of experience in plain clothes.
Acting Senior Sergeant Darren Tamblyn said he was thrilled to have him on board.
"We're pleased to have him here, it now means the Warwick CIB is at full strength," Acting Snr Sgt Tamblyn said.
"He brings a full load of experience from working in the Mount Isa Police district," he said.
