Clarkson kicks well for Reddies
AUSSIE RULES: Tyhe Clarkson kicked seven goals as Warwick Redbacks beat Toowoomba Tigers 17.10 (102) to 13.8 (86) in their AFL Darling Downs clash at Rockville on Saturday.
Warwick led throughout but were pushed by a Tigers team who have improved on their previous showing.
"Tigers have recruited two big ruckmen and a tall full forward," Redbacks coach Brendan Walker said.
On-baller Ashley Pitt was best for Warwick in his return from injury.
While Clarkson led the way with seven majors, Kurt Millard, Matt Chimes, Coen Slatter and Brent Walker also impressed
All club teams have a bye this week due to representative football.
Warwick player Brendan Iles is in doubt for the game with a knee injury sustained against University a week ago.
Warwick's next two games are away to Coolaroo and Goondiwindi and then the club hosts University on June 27 at Reddies Oval.
