Clients taken for a thrilling ride
THE Ulysses Club was out in force yesterday as more than 30 Endeavour clients in Warwick were taken on the ride of a lifetime.
Warwick and district branch president Dennis King said the annual ride was to celebrate the fourth birthday of the club.
"The branch was established four years ago and this is our third birthday ride," Mr King said.
Thirty-five branch members were involved as riders who took clients as their pillion passengers, while others set up for morning tea, fun events and a sausage sizzle at Queens Park.
Thirty bikes were part of the trip from Hungry Jack's to Queens Park via a ride through rural areas east of Warwick. Some clients were also driven in open-top cars.
Mr King said Hungry Jack's provided a free meal and drink at the start of the day, Steele's Bakery sponsored morning tea and Bell's Butchery and Brumby's lunch.
A unit from the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service, Warwick station, was at Queens Park so the clients could experience the thrill of being a firefighter.
The ride yesterday is one of many organised by branch members, who get together each fortnight for a social ride.
