Clifton sponsored team wins in extra time footy
FOOTBALL: Clifton Peanut Trading scored a 5-3 win in extra time against Iconic Constructions in the under-12/U13 grand final in Warwick football on Saturday.
The score was 3-all at fulltime and Clifton Peanut Trading scored twice in extra time.
Harry McMahon from the K and S Water Carting team was best and fairest in the U12/U13 grade.
In the premier grade, Southern Downs Realty beat Red Rooster 2-1 in the grand final.
Alice Cook from Southern Downs Realty was best and fairest for the season. Two junior referees Nick Spence and Cameron Darton officiated in the grand finals.
Matt Kairoux was presented with the Nathan Brose Memorial Coach of the Year award.
The Warwick District Football Association will discuss the possibility of summer fixtures at a meeting tonight with more volunteers needed to run a successful competition.
