Club celebrates 10th milestone

WARWICK Combined Probus Club celebrated 10 years in Warwick with a meeting and luncheon at the Warwick RSL.

Club members were joined by members of Rotary and other Probus clubs including the Rose City Probus Club.

Carol Chapman, who is a special access liaison officer with the Alzheimer's Group, provided an informative address on dementia.

She discussed the signs of dementia, stressing that there is a difference between behaviour which is normal for aging people and that which is associated with the disease.

There are many varieties of the condition.

She outlined the support which is available to the patients and carers.

Members and guests were entertained by the Probus Singing Group who presented songs related to the Warwick July theme of Jumpers and Jazz.

President David Free welcomed the six past presidents who had guided the club through the last 10 years.

Probus clubs are established to cater for the interests of active retirees through social meetings, outings and day and extended tours.

The Warwick Combined Probus Club welcomes people who are interested in sharing the range of activities on offer.
