Coach hopes to keep combination
SHARI Hirning hopes to coach the same Warwick junior netball players from when they started at age eight until they turn 17.
The Warwick 1 12 years coach was at the helm as her side won four games and drew in one in the State Challenge Carnival at the weekend.
Hirning said her aim was to ensure each of the nine players received equal court time.
Eliza McLennan and Madison Burton were shooters, while Lily Maw played attack and defence.
The Warwick centre court four, with three on court at all times, comprised AJ Ryan, Eliza Eastwell, Claire Kelly and Hannah Duggan, while Kaitlin Wallace and Bronte LeSueur played defence all weekend.
"I have developed a strong bond with the team and hope to coach them in the inter-district league and to state carnivals until they finish school," Hirning said.
"I first coached some of them in midgets. Manager Fiona Wallace and parents are supportive."
Warwick fielded four teams in the carnival.
