Coffs Coast exposed via Travel Bug

COFFS Harbour is set to star in an upcoming episode of Channel 7's The Travel Bug.

Series One of the show saw the adventurous crew snow shoeing in the Japanese Alps and swimming with sharks in Tahiti.

Despite visiting some of the worlds most amazing travel destinations, host Morgan Burnett was more than impressed when he went skydiving, scuba diving and jetty jumping and saw the sights of the Coffs Coast last week.

"Coffs Harbour is absolutely stunning, it was an amazing experience," Mr Burnett said.

A night of camping and survival skills with local business Adventure Tag Tours was Mr Burnett's pick for the most unique Coffs Harbour experience.

"It's the Bush Tucker Man meets Man V's Wild as you're taken into the spectacular Coffs Coast hinterland to see the gorgeous environment and get some outdoor education."

Adventure Tag Tours' owner, Scott Belcher, also thoroughly enjoyed the experience, which featured as the editor's choice on the Travel Bug website.

"We had a fantastic time with the guys from The Travel Bug," Mr Belcher said.

"They learnt skills like fire lighting, star navigation and shelter building, and we all shared stories next to the campfire and had a lot of laughs."

The episode of The Travel Bug featuring Coffs Harbour is due to air in mid-August on Channel 7.
