Cole named biggest celebrity shock

CHERYL Cole's US 'X Factor' hiring and firing has been voted as the most "OMG" moment of the year to date.

The 'Promise This' hitmaker - who was unceremoniously sacked from the TV talent show by music mogul Simon Cowell after just four audition rounds - also topped the chart for shocking fans with an unexpected reconciliation with cheating ex-husband Ashley Cole in July.

After the brunette beauty reportedly got back together with the England and Chelsea soccer ace - who she divorced in September 2010 - searches for her name on Yahoo! increased by some 20 per cent when compared with the same period last year.

Pippa Middleton came in second place on the Top 10 OMG! Moments Chart for causing a worldwide stir when she sashayed down the aisle of London's Westminster Abbey in a silhouette-enhancing Sarah Burton gown at her sister Kate's wedding to Britain's Prince William on April 29.
