Collaboration key at community networking breakfast
COLLABORATIVE community care will be the topic of conversation at a community networking event in Warwick next week.
The Community Network of Warwick will host their first event for the year on Friday, aiming to create a conversation around what collaborative community care is all about.
CNoW has been hosting tri-monthly breakfast events, building community awareness on issues such as domestic violence, mental health, gender inequality and hoarding and squalor.
CNoW spokeswoman Julia Keogh said the team had also provided networking and professional development opportunities and workshops that focused on improving individual and community resilience.
“Our events are interactive; they are all about the people who live in our region and we hope it will provide you with an opportunity to meet key community services stakeholders,” she said.
Ms Keogh said Friday’s event would give attendees the chance to meet and greet each other during a standing breakfast.
“Attendees will hear from an experienced community worker who lives and breathes collaboration and connection,” she said.
“By the end of this breakfast, we hope you will be inspired by the work carried out in the community services sector across the Southern Downs.”
The event will be held at Bluebird Kitchen from 7am.
“Thanks to the incredible community spirit of Jim and Katie at the Bluebird Kitchen, you can have a full breakfast with real coffee for just $12.50,” Ms Keogh said.
“Please pay on the day as you arrive and a tax receipt will be issued upon request.”
RSVP is Tuesday by emailing communitynetworkofwarwick@gmail.com or phoning Julia on 0438665440.
