Collegians St George-bound with spoils of victory fresh

AFTER winning the top player awards after the Warwick and District Junior Rugby League grand finals on Saturday, Collegians under-14 forward Zac Stevens and Will Dearden will be on the road to St George for a carnival on Saturday.

The pair won the top awards after a 28-8 victory against Eastern Suburbs.

Collegians also provided the top two in the U13 grand final, Augustine Stowers and Sam Frattini.

Best and fairest awards were sponsored by McIvor Grazing and player of the match awards by Danny Lyons Sports.

Collegians will travel to St George on Saturday for a Nines competition between 12 teams. They will play five games in pool B against Northern Suburbs, Highfields, Roma State, Roma and Chinchilla.

They have the chance to qualify for the finals series.
