Under-8 side steals the limelight

THE Collegians Dragons under-8 side rated a mention from the Channel 9 commentary team when they played the Chinchilla Bulldogs at halftime at Suncorp Stadium at the weekend.

The players took the field during the break in the Brisbane Broncos game against the Bulldogs.

More than 50 people from Warwick travelled in charter bus to Suncorp Stadium to cheer on the Dragons.

It was just by chance that the boys from Warwick met former Wattles junior and Test legend Shane Webcke near the Wally Lewis Statue.

Despite Webcke’s history with the Wattles club, the Collegians players convinced Webcke to be photographed with them outside the ground.
