Colts all rounder stars with bat and ball in victory

CRICKET: An unbeaten 73 by Cameron Peterson set up an easy Warwick Hotel Colts victory against Redbacks in Condamine Cup cricket on Saturday at Slade Park.

Batting first, Colts made 9-215 with Peterson coming in at No.6 and finishing unbeaten along with Darcy Bourke.

Jacob Gross scored 61 and added 61 in combination with his brother Ben for the second wicket. Tyhe Clarkson was the best of the Redbacks bowlers with 3-41 off eight overs.

Jacob then took the valuable wicket of Redbacks opener Jamie Saunders and the boys from the Aussie rules team, the Redbacks, never recovered.

Sam Waetford made 31 and Clarkson, 30, in a score of 134.

Sam Byron was the best Colts bowler with 3-24 off four overs. Peterson took 2-11 off four overs to cap off a fine game.
