Colts batsman starts T20 cricket competition with top knock
CRICKET: Rain hit Warwick cricket hard but not before Lachlan Gross had belted 76 for Warwick Hotel Colts in the new T20 competition.
A storm hit in the middle of the day on Saturday and Sovereign Animals didn't even get a chance to bat on the Queens Park Synthetic.
The games were originally transferred from turf to synthetic.
Warwick Hotel Colts batted first and were 2-155 after 17.3 overs.
Gross hit 76 and his younger brother Jacob retired on 40.
Angus Dendle was the best of the Animals bowlers with 1-24 off two overs. Scott McCulloch took 1-27 off three overs and a catch.
Warwick cricket returns to 40-over a side this weekend.
