Colts head north for round nine in Warwick cricket
CRICKET: After an unbeaten start to the season and then a loss to Maryvale-Condamine, Warwick Hotel Colts have started the second round with a win against Rascals and will be aiming to keep winning against Allora at Allora tomorrow.
The win last weekend was set up by Cameron Peterson who hit 73 not out and took 2-11 for Colts while Mitch McLennan is the form player for Allora.
In the other Saturday game on synthetic, Redbacks will head west to play Inglewood.
In the first round, poor fielding let Redbacks down but captain Tyhe Clarkson is confident his side has improved dramatically in the past two months.
Spinner Dave Brady will return for Redbacks after not playing in last week's loss to Colts.
Adam Drennert scored a half century for Inglewood in round 1 against Redbacks and will be missing along with Garth Miller.
The key player could be Inglewood all rounder Jamien Smith who is in top form with bat and ball. He took 5-34 last weekend.
